9Marks Workshop Speakers

We are honored to welcome the following speakers for our 9Marks Workshop on November 15th & 16th:

Michael Lawrence is the lead pastor of Hinson Baptist Church is Portland, Oregon. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, an MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a BA from Duke University. He is a council member of The Gospel Coaltion and is the author of several books, including Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church: A guide for ministry, Conversion: How God Creates a People, Ezekiel: A 12 week study (Knowing the Bible), and with Mark Dever, It is Well: Expositions on Substitutionary Atonement. He and his wife, Adrienne, have five children.

Todd Miles serves as an elder at Hinson Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon and is the Director of the Master of Theology Program and Associate Professor of Theology at Western Seminary. He has a PhD from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Western Seminary, and a BS and MS from Oregon State University. He is the author of A God of Many Understandings? The Gospel and Theology of Religions” and Superheroes Can’t Save You:Epic Examples of Historic Heresies. Todd and his wife Camille have 6 children.

David Farley is the lead pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship in Spokane, Washington. He is a graduate of Washington State University, Covenant Theological Seminary, and Western Seminary (ThM). He is currently working on a DMin at Western Seminary. He has been married for 20 years to Heidi and is the father of five boys. He loves church history, tennis, Seahawk football and spending time with his family.

Kyle Schwahn has served as preaching pastor at Indian Trail Church in Spokane, Washington since 2008. He co-directs the Inland Northwest chapter of The Gospel Coalition, and The Spurgeon Fellowship-Spokane. He holds degrees from Moody Bible Institute (BS), Western Seminary (MA), and is currently pursuing a PhD at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of City on a Hill: The Light of Christ in the Life of His Church. He is married to Melissa and dad to three girls.
