- As the author of all life, are there lives God does not care about? What are some verses from early on in the Bible that show how much God values each human life? (Hint: Genesis 1, 2 & 9, Exodus 21, Deuteronomy 19-26)

- Why would stealing people and selling them into slavery be something God would say is punishable by death? Is there slavery happening in our times? If so, how should followers of God feel about that?

- Some people actually are murderers, and most of us would think of them as more deserving of punishment than we are. What did Jesus say about that in Matthew 5:21-22? How should that affect us as followers of Christ?
