HOME GROUP DISCUSSION
- Is Matthew 6:19-34 about money? What is our human disposition regarding treasure? Is longing for treasure a bad thing?
- Why is the word "yourselves" in verse 19 so important? As followers of Christ, what treasure should we long for and value? (read 1 Timothy 6:17-19)
- Is it wrong to have financial savings in this world? How is "mammon" more than money? What does it mean to be "devoted to" or "enslaved by" something? (see verse 24)
- What does all this talk about treasure and heart have to do with being anxious? (read verses 25-34) What kind of things do you worry about? What does your anxiety say about your trust in God?
