Sunday Gathering - August 9th

Because the church’s building is still in a level 3 evacuation zone, we will not be gathering there on Sunday morning. Instead, we will gather for Sunday worship at Faith Bible Church at 1:00 pm.

Address: 440 W Cora Ave, Spokane, WA 99205

--------

On August 1st, our Spokane community suffered a nearly incomprehensible disaster as fires tore through our city — including the neighborhood we love and call home, where our church building is also located.

To date, 6 families have suffered a complete loss of their home, property, and possessions, and nearly half of our roughly 400-member congregation has been displaced, living in temporary housing due to necessary evacuations — with friends, relatives, in hotels, or other accommodations.

Many people and churches have asked how they can specifically help, and we have set up a Fire Relief Fund for our church.

These resources will be used to care for the immediate, mid-term, and long-term needs of ITC members, and as the Lord gives opportunity, for the good and upbuilding of others in our area.

Although there is much tragedy, we grieve with great hope because of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.

If you or your church desire to help and serve our church and those we're connected to, please direct your giving to the Indian Trail Church – Fire Relief Fund.

Matthew 9:14-34

May 19, 2019 Speaker: Kyle Schwahn Series: Matthew

Passage: Matthew 9:14–34

HOME GROUP DISCUSSION

- What is the biblical significance of Christ referring to himself as "the bridegroom" in Matthew 9:15?

- What were some of the contrasts and similarities between the ruler and the woman in verses 18-26?

- What is it that healed the woman (verse 22)? How would you define "faith?" What does faith have to do with the gospel of Jesus? What kind of faith do you see in your own life? Does God ever promise us that we will be healed from our infimities?

- In verse 24, Jesus tells those gathered to mourn that the dead girl was "sleeping." Why would he say that?

- What is the biblical significance of the blind men calling Jesus "the Son of David?" How did they respond to being healed by Jesus? How did the Pharisees respond to Jesus in verse 34?
