Matthew 11

Passage: Matthew 11:1–30
HOME GROUP DISCUSSION
- Why would John the Baptist, knowing of the miracles Jesus was doing, wonder if Jesus was the Christ? What purpose of Christ mentioned in the prophets was John expecting to see? What did Jesus mean when he said: "Blessed is the one who is not offended by me."
- Why did Jesus say that there has been "no one greater than John the Baptist?" How, then, could "the least" in the kingdom of heaven be "greater than he?" Why do you think people are predisposed to reject Christ?
- Why does Jesus mention some historically wicked cities? What does that say about the severity of rejecting the Christ?
- Read Matthew 11:28-30 and explain what it means to you personally.
