Passage: Matthew 13:1–52
HOME GROUP DISCUSSION
- In responding to Christ's kingdom, most people reject Jesus. How does the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:3-9 illustrate this?
- Why do you think Jesus suddenly began to speak to the people in parables?
- In Jesus' explanation of the sower parable, he implies that those who do not reject Christ will bear fruit (verse 32). What is this fruit? If you have not rejected Jesus, what fruit do you see in your life?
- In verse 44-46 of Matthew 13, Jesus compares his kingdom to a great treasure. How do we respond to something we treasure? How does the way we spend our time reflect what we treasure?
