--------

On August 1st, our Spokane community suffered a nearly incomprehensible disaster as fires tore through our city — including the neighborhood we love and call home, where our church building is also located.

To date, 6 families have suffered a complete loss of their home, property, and possessions, and nearly half of our roughly 400-member congregation has been displaced, living in temporary housing due to necessary evacuations — with friends, relatives, in hotels, or other accommodations.

Many people and churches have asked how they can specifically help, and we have set up a Fire Relief Fund for our church.

These resources will be used to care for the immediate, mid-term, and long-term needs of ITC members, and as the Lord gives opportunity, for the good and upbuilding of others in our area.

Although there is much tragedy, we grieve with great hope because of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.

If you or your church desire to help and serve our church and those we're connected to, please direct your giving to the Indian Trail Church – Fire Relief Fund.

Psalm 90

October 6, 2019 Speaker: Vergil Brown Series: Psalms

Passage: Psalm 90:1–17

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

- What are the significant differences between God and man that Moses describes in Psalm 90:1-6? Is it our natural inclination to think about the eternity of God? Have you ever found yourself so occupied with the moment that you lost sight of the God who created you? How do our attitudes and outlooks change when we have an eternal perspective?

- How improtant should God's holiness be to us? If God's wrath rests on our sinful natures, what hope do we have? Where does our salvation come from? Explain the gospel of Jesus Christ as clearly as possible.

- What does Psalm 90:14 tell us about the result of our salvation? Can the work of our hands in this fading world have eternal value? If so, how would that affect the priorities of our daily lives?
