Sunday Gathering - August 9th

Because the church’s building is still in a level 3 evacuation zone, we will not be gathering there on Sunday morning. Instead, we will gather for Sunday worship at Faith Bible Church at 1:00 pm.

Address: 440 W Cora Ave, Spokane, WA 99205

--------

On August 1st, our Spokane community suffered a nearly incomprehensible disaster as fires tore through our city — including the neighborhood we love and call home, where our church building is also located.

To date, 6 families have suffered a complete loss of their home, property, and possessions, and nearly half of our roughly 400-member congregation has been displaced, living in temporary housing due to necessary evacuations — with friends, relatives, in hotels, or other accommodations.

Many people and churches have asked how they can specifically help, and we have set up a Fire Relief Fund for our church.

These resources will be used to care for the immediate, mid-term, and long-term needs of ITC members, and as the Lord gives opportunity, for the good and upbuilding of others in our area.

Although there is much tragedy, we grieve with great hope because of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.

If you or your church desire to help and serve our church and those we're connected to, please direct your giving to the Indian Trail Church – Fire Relief Fund.

Romans 12:14-21 part 1

October 18, 2020 Speaker: Kyle Schwahn Series: Romans

Passage: Romans 12:14–21

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

- Romans 12:14 says to bless those who persecute you. When did the persecution of God's people start? What are examples of persecution you can think of from the Bible? (Galatians 1:13; Acts 22:3-4; Matthew 5:11-12; Luke 6:22-23; 1 John 3:11-13; 1 Peter 4:12-16; John 15:18-21)

- When did the persecution of God's people stop? If someone tried to teach you that once a person started following Christ, God would protect them from sickness, harm or persecution, what would you say? What are examples of persecution in your own life?

- Why do you think followers of Christ in North America have experienced so little persecution over the last century? Do you think the persecution of God's people in our culture will increase or decrease over the next decade?

- What will you do if the persecution of you and your family increases over time? What are we supposed to do? (James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 1:3-6)
