- In Matthew 4:17-23, what events does the author describe? In what ways were these significant in the life and ministry of Jesus? How was this significant to the men that Jesus approached?

- What did Jesus mean by "fishers of men" in Matthew 4:19? How did these men respond to this odd request?

- If these were the first of many disciples of Jesus, how many disciples did Jesus end up with? Are you one of the many disciples of Jesus Christ? How do you know? As a disciple of Christ, are you called to be "a fisher of men?" If so, how is the fishing going?
