SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION
- In Colossians 1:28, who is being proclaimed? What is meant by "mature in Christ?" What do you think "warning" and "teaching" have to do with being mature in Christ?
- In Colossians 3:16, what is the relationship between "teaching and admonishing one another" and letting "the word of Christ dwell" in us richly? How is this related to what we call "counseling" today?
- If we are called to teach and admonish to some extent, can God only use us through what we've experienced in life? What are some examples you have been able to help others who are going through something you've never experienced?
- In what ways can pride keep us from teaching and admonishing one another? In Colossians 2:4, what do you think is meant by "a plausible argument?" Can you think of examples of plausible arguments that seem like wisdom but are not? How can we measure true wisdom?
