Exodus 35:1-40:38

Passage: Exodus 35:1– 40:38

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

- Read 1 Peter 1:10-12. Why is it important to consider what was said and done in times long ago, such as the story of the Exodus? How does the Old Testament gives shape to what follows in the New Testament?

- If the story of the Exodus is a paradigm for our salvation, is it only about leaving a life of slavery behind? What else is God doing in his children's lives? Where is he taking them to, and for what purpose?

- If we review Exodus 25 and 29, we see God reveal his desire to dwell among his people. As the story concludes in Exodus 40:16-33, we see Moses finishing the work and preparation God had instructed him to do. What happened next, in Exodus 40:34-38?

- At the end of Exodus, were God's plans for mankind complete? Read John 1:14. In what way was more to come? Where (or, in whom) do we see the fullness of the glory of God among his people? Where is God's tabernacle today?
