March 6, 2022 Speaker: Kyle Schwahn Series: Thessalonians

Passage: 1 Thessalonians 2:1–4

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

- In 1 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Paul testifies to what kind of ministers we are called by God to be. (also read Romans 1:16-17; Romans 15:15-16; and 1 Timothy 1:10-11) If, like Paul, our message is the gospel, what exactly is the gospel? What is the good news of Jesus Christ? Feel free to share personal stories of how you heard the gospel and how it changed you.

- In 1 Thessalonians 2:3, what does it mean that we have been "entrusted" with the gospel? Who entrusted it to us? (also see 2 Corinthians 3:4-6)

- For what purpose has God entrusted us with the gospel? (read 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 and Romans 10:14) What people in your life do you think God entrusted you for?

- Paul describes a boldness in 1 Thessalonians 2:2. What is the boldness he is talking about? (also see Acts 4:29-31) Whom does our boldness please? (1 Thessalonoans 2:4) Have there been times in your life when you've shared the gospel with boldness? What was the result?
