Corporate Worship

Every Sunday morning, the members of ITC gather to corporately worship together. While the focus of our worship is and always will be the one, true God, the biblical ways by which we worship together are multifaceted and involve the participation of the whole membership. When we gather, we do the following:

  • Sing with one another (Psalm 100; Eph 5:18-20; Col 3:16-17)
  • Corporately pray with one another, praising and thanking the Lord, confessing sin to the Lord, and calling upon the Lord for help in our need (Acts 2:42; Col 4:2; Jas 5:16)
  • Receive the Word with one another (Acts 2:42; Jas 1:21; 2 Tim 4:1-2)
  • Remember Christ in the ordinance of the Lord's Table with one another (Matt 26:26-29; Acts 2:42; 1 Cor 11:17-34)
  • Share and pray for one another (Acts 2:42; Eph 6:18; Jas 5:16)
  • Celebrate new birth in Christ in the ordinance of baptism with one another
  • Fellowship with one another, speaking truth to one another, caring for one another and serving one another (Acts 2:42; Eph 4:12-16; 1 Pet 4:10-11)
  • Read Scripture with one another (Psalm 119:30; Rom 10:17; 1 Tim 4:13)
  • Give towards the care of the saints and Gospel ministry at ITC and around the world (Acts 4:34-35; 2 Cor 9:6-8; 1 Tim 5:17-18)

In order to facilitate these aspects of corporate worship effectively, we need our members to serve according to their gifts in the following areas:
