Sunday Gathering - August 9th

Because the church’s building is still in a level 3 evacuation zone, we will not be gathering there on Sunday morning. Instead, we will gather for Sunday worship at Faith Bible Church at 1:00 pm.

Address: 440 W Cora Ave, Spokane, WA 99205

--------

On August 1st, our Spokane community suffered a nearly incomprehensible disaster as fires tore through our city — including the neighborhood we love and call home, where our church building is also located.

To date, 6 families have suffered a complete loss of their home, property, and possessions, and nearly half of our roughly 400-member congregation has been displaced, living in temporary housing due to necessary evacuations — with friends, relatives, in hotels, or other accommodations.

Many people and churches have asked how they can specifically help, and we have set up a Fire Relief Fund for our church.

These resources will be used to care for the immediate, mid-term, and long-term needs of ITC members, and as the Lord gives opportunity, for the good and upbuilding of others in our area.

Although there is much tragedy, we grieve with great hope because of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.

If you or your church desire to help and serve our church and those we're connected to, please direct your giving to the Indian Trail Church – Fire Relief Fund.

Exodus 32:1-34:35

October 3, 2021 Speaker: Kyle Schwahn Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 32:1– 34:35

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

- In Exodus 32:1, why do you think the people of Israel forgot about Moses and The Lord so quickly? Although they had been led out of Egypt by a pillar of cloud and fire, how well did they know their God?

- When the people chose to turn from the Lord to an empty god of their own making in Exodus 32:7-10, a god that could only lead them to their deaths, the Lord was ready to give them what they wanted. Despite an amazing offer from God, why do you think Moses interceded on behalf of the people? Did Moses change God's plans?

- When Moses came down from the mountain in Exodus 32:15-19, it was his turn to burn with anger. What did the breaking of the tablets - the work and word of God - symbolize? Thousands died when Moses returned and the tablets were shattered, but was that the end of the consequences of their idolatry? What is the significance of Exodus 33:3?

- Read 1 Corinthians 10:1-7. Are there gifts in our lives that we treasure more than the giver of those gifts? How is knowing our God related to treasuring our God? How can we get to know God in our day?
